Freezing a hard drive for data recovery

By January 24, 2012No Comments

I have officially tried freezing a hard drive to temporarily bring it back to life. No go. Supposedly the freezing contracts the metal parts causing things that are worn and dying to contract  and work for one more Hoorah. My fingers are frostbitten from holding the drive while mounting it – lol and I no data recovered. The drive wouldn’t even read in Windows.
