How do I get my old start menu back?
With Windows 8 comes the Metro UI start menu. This start menu work great if you have a tablet or touchscreen but leaves die hard Windows 7 fans lost. Most people buy a new computer and then start hating it from day 1 because of the new “features” in Windows 8 such as the start menu. The good news is that you can have your old start menu back in just a few clicks.
A handy site I’ve been using for years called Ninite makes installation of the classic start extremely easy. Just click the link below, select Run, Then click YES when prompted by UAC
- Click: https://ninite.com/classicshell/
- Click Run
- Click YES if prompted by User Access Control (UAC)
- Let Ninite run until installation is complete.
